Rally

Hi Mike,

I’m also planning to ride to the Rally via the Parkway.

I rode the MABDR last September from Damascus to Hancock MD turning around at the Potomac. It took me about three days to do that much but I got off route a bit visiting a buddy in WV.

I’d love to go again if y’all end up doing it in June.

The BMW MOA National Rally is June 8-10. My wife and I are entertaining the idea of starting a few days early, riding the Blue Ridge Parkway(BRP) to about Boone NC and then heading to the start of the MABDR from there. We would ride the BDR up to Shepardstown and then turn south to the Rally and spend a day or two there. Non GSers could certainly just continue up the BRP.

Has anyone ridden the MABDR? How many hours can I expect to get to Shepardstown? I have heard that what is listed on the BDR site is pretty conservative.

Anyone interested in joining us? I would be willing to lead a group of B/C riders.
