R1200S

The 1150  is a beautiful bike. But I know you will love the 2017.
I guess it is time to post my recent update.   I didn't think I could love a bike more than I loved my '02.   But boy do I really really love the updates!   My plan was to break 100,000 on the '02.   But at 95,500 I made the mistake of test riding a 2017.   Wow!   Life is good.

Here is what my wife calls " the other woman". Her name is Belle she is a 2008 RT with Avant fender extender, Parabellum windshield, 2 set Denali driving lights (waiting for the b6 brake light to come in ), Wunderlich crash bars, LED turn signals, etc.
She is ready for the ride to Des Moines .
My 1100RS all loaded up for my trip to Montana for Fathers day.

Gave the GS a good scrubbing today, long overdue.

Not sure why my pics are showing up sideways.   My 1976 R90/6.
Nice 1200S Dave. I've got a 2001 1100S (stuck in 2nd gear). It's been a great bike but not the same get up and go as your 1200S. Will get mine back on the road sometime I hope.

Multiple bikes are good. Don't sell if you don't have to. I'm only 5'6" and my S has lowered pegs and raised bars and is all day comfortable and fun on the track too.

Picked this up last week to go with my K1600GTL.  I don't always want to get the two wheeled couch out so this will be what I use for the quick trips around town or when I feel a little sportier.  Its a 2007 R1200S.  You don't see many of them and black is one of the hardest colors to find.  There are a couple of them around town.  Great little bike.

Thinking about selling the K1600 and trailer if anyone is interested.
Wowzers.   The truck actually looks worse than the bike.

What did you get Marc? Does it have an "A" at the end? (And I don't mean Honda).

Actually I already bought it...lol
will not be able to ride for another 2 weeks. And by the the way it was a F350 super duty

Yes. I think the helmet and gloves are all that Marc salvaged from his GSA when the F-150 plowed into him and sent him flying.  He's already looking at a 2017 replacement GSA.

I'll bet there is a story that goes with that helmet.

New member on here, just giving the site a test drive! I am logged in, but unable to create a new forum post other than as a reply, so I hope I am doing this correctly!

I just bought my first BMW, a 2016 S1000XR. I love this bike.  It does have one or two twitches, such as the handlebar vibrations at ~4500rpm, but I dampened the vibration with some bar weights, and foam grips. It's a monster now that the rev limiter is removed. The Moose is Loose, as they say.

I have two other bikes, a KZ Versys 650, and a KTM 250 XCF-W 6 Day. I love the dirt. I also have road and mountain bicycles, play guitar, paddle, and travel abroad whenever I can (39 countries so far).

I am a native Atlantan, born and live between downtown/midtown/buckhead mostly, near Howell Mill/Collier Road within walking distance of i75 exit252B. I have 3 dogs, and have been involved in #petrescue for several years, and founded a popular fan page that helps shelters find rescue groups for death row pets. https://www.facebook.com/seprr

I joined this site to try it out, and perhaps find some folks to ride with, particularly those interested in long adventure rides to Points Uncharted.

If anyone has any advice on where to find group rides, such as a good Meetup.com group, or longer adventure tour rides, let me know.  I would really love to find a Thursday night crew to ride with.

See you soon!

Welcome Rudy. Nice color. The RT is one of my favorite BMW bikes. Smooth and very powerful with the new engine. You made a great choice.

Welcome Rudy and nice color.  I believe that I was in the shop browsing late Saturday afternoon when you were wrapping up your purchase.  Congratulations!
