A while off yet, but the GMA in September is a good opportunity to gain experience Georgia Mountain Adventure Dual Sport Weekend - 9/15/2017

If you look under the "Ride Library" at the top of the menu here, you can find links to GPS tracks and maps of many dual sport rides not too far from you.  The descriptions of each tell you what you might get into. North Georgia has lots of fire roads that are pretty easy for people who are just getting into off roading.  Mainly they are rather hard packed dirt or gravel.

If you are still looking for easy places to ride your GS, I'd be glad to meet up with you and take you on a tour of some of my favorite non-technical dirt roads.  We'll avoid the "baby heads" that stick up out of the dirt road and keep to the flat dirt where we can attain higher speeds.

I'm a new gs rider in Roswell. Any thoughts as to where I can get some easy/novice off road experience, fairly close, where I won't get in anyone's way?
thanks!
