Author Last Post
Congratulations on the 2017 RT!

I hope you will attend the Social at Two Wheels on the 11th so we can all see it.
Congratulations Don! So glad we could be of service...

She's a beauty! Let's go ride.

Sounds to me that you have really expanded your knowledge and appreciation of a great passion by attending the GMR! Enjoy your new ride.

I have beeb reminded over the past few weeks that I don't need to go to rallies, especially the GMR.....     Fact is, we look around and observe all the new bikes, new set-ups, new accessories, new technologies, etc., and I wonder how long my '07RT wants to remain a passion.

Well, unfortunately, I returned from this year's GMR and decided it would be okay to start looking and considering a trade up.  Yep, test rode a '17RT at the recent Hourglass Cycles open house.  Gained a sense of possibilities and returned the next week with Erika to ride 2-up.  Another strong vote of confidence.  The new LC engine is really nice and smooth and gathers power at a rather pleasing rate.  I didn't know what I had been missing and realized that BMW could actually build an RT that  didn't  clunk when changing gears...up and down.

I started talking prices, add-on accessories, my trade-in, etc., and we cut a deal.  Fair and upfront all the way around.

We took delivery last Thursday morning and it now has a sweet 347 miles toward the break-in period.  Think we'll keep it, thank you.

Don.
