I asked Ian the same question. He will be at the GS trophy Southeast trials that weekend up in Spartanburg at the BMW factory. So he cant make the GMA this year.

Ahhhh! I wish I had started using the forum 10 days ago, I would have definitely appreciated a dual sport ride. I hate that I missed this opportunity. Ian, any chance we could twist your arm into coming down to GMA 9/15?

Ian, Seems like a great idea. I did not "do" this event last year. The map below shows what a number of us did on the Saturday the year before - about 180 miles/4 hours.

Howdy all... looking forward to seeing everyone up here next weekend, I've not been able to make any meetings this year because we've moved up to Western NC and it took a ton of time and effort to do that.

Last time y'all were up at BRMC I led a ride for a few friends... and would gladly do so again if there is any interest.

It can be a dual-sport or all-paved ride, as long or short as you'd like, and I guarantee you'll ride roads you've never taken before.

I suppose the best day would be Saturday the 26th.
