Attached is a GPX file of the routes to the campground that I have to hand. Also attached are simple maps (larger versions of the thumbnails here). All assume the RaceTrac at Howard Road on the north side of Gainesville as the staring point.
I plan to ride my R100R to the campground tomorrow, Friday 25th, leaving the RaceTrac at Howard Road North of Gainesville pomptly at 11:45am. Happy to have company.
Given the relatively late start, I plan to ride route #9. Do not plan any extended stops, just gas and a snack to two. Should get to the campground no later than 5:00pm.
There's a slim chance that If I've made good time, the weather is looking good and I still feel fresh, I will divert at Balsam Gap onto the Blue Ridge Parkway.
