How I started the 2018:
2012 F650GS New Years Day Maintenance (mileage 38,999).
1. New Front Brake pads and brake fluid
2. New Chain and front and rear sprockets.
3. New rear caliper slide boots, re-greased slide posts, and new brake fluid (pads are only a month old - replaced when caliper was removed and frozen caliper slide posts freed up).
4. New oil and filter.
Ready to go and to stop!
Be sure that you check your calipers whenever the wheels are off the bike to be sure they slide freely, especially those of us who like those river crossings!
Commuting to Hayesville on the 3rd. I think I'll wait till is warms up to at least 25 degrees. Glad to have heated gear toes to neck!
