Activities at the
28th Annual Georgia Mountain Rally
May 4th to May 6th 2018

Jack Riepe
Author and Speaker

"A writer of limited ability, Jack Riepe is confined by the absolute truth.  Hobbled by artritis, he types his stories by pounding a shot glass on a keyboard -- with his foot, and rumors that he is in the Brazilian Witness Protection Program are only partially true."

Jack is a featured columnist in the BMW ON magazine, an accomplished author and speaker.  His book, "Conversations With A Motorcycle" is an autobiographical account of his early years on a motorcycle, when women unleashed their passion -- on everyone but him.

Deb Gasque  (Iron Butt Fashionista)
Author and Speaker

You may know Deb as “The Fashionista” from the BMW MOA, but her passion for motorcycling goes way deeper than just looking good while perched on two wheels. She has been a licensed rider since 2009 and has completed three Iron Butt Association rides, the most recent being the Iron Butt 50 CC. On that particular ride last October, Deb journeyed from Tybee Island, Georgia to San Diego, California in 49 hours and 10 minutes…and used that extreme long-distance ride to raise funds for the “Look Good Feel Better” organization which provides makeovers and wigs for women suffering the effects of chemotherapy.

Deb recently became a full-time resident of Georgia and considers herself the BMW MOA’s biggest cheerleader. She has been a regular columnist for the MOA’s Owners News Magazine since 2015, is an MOA Regional Coordinator of the southeastern states and also serves as a 2018 BMW MOA National Rally Co-Chair. Additionally, Deb writes for Modern Moto Magazine, maintains her own blog site, and has served as a product tester and advocate for several brands of motorcycle gear manufacturers, including those new to the moto-scene.

Alejandro Alvarez
Adventure Rider and Presenter

Alejandro is an off-road GS addict, photographer, multi-media enthusiast, and avid BMW fan.  His passion for motorcycles started 20 years ago when he bought a vespa to commute to college. Since then, Alejandro has owned 15 different motorcycles from cruisers to sport bikes to his current R1200 GSA.  Alejandro started the Georgia Adventure Riders Facebook Group in 2013,  which has connected him with local riders as well as with the European BMW community.   Alejandro’s photos have been featured on BMW Motorrad social media pages, BMW MOA magazines, and many internet outlets.

Whenever Alejandro catches a free moment, you can find him riding his R1200GSA off road and scouting for new roads in the north Georgia mountains with his GADVR friends.  Alejandro is also part of the BMW Motorcycle Club of Georgia and started hosting his friends to Colombia on a week-long riding adventure. Alejandro has competed in the BMW GS Trophy Pre-qualifier twice, and he is already looking for a team to represent Georgia in the next event.

Hawk Hagebak, Author and Speaker
Motorcycle Adventures in the Southern Appalachians

Hawk Hagebak is a YOUNG retired motorcycle officer from Metro Atlanta. As a lifelong motorcyclist, he’s logged saddle time in all of the lower 48 states and Hawaii. He’s the author of the popular series of motorcycle guidebooks, Motorcycle Adventures in the Southern Appalachians, a MSF RiderCoach, one of those crazy Iron Butt Riders, a former Police Motorcycle Instructor, a father of four daughters (which sort of explains his desire to ride long distances……alone), and he’s one hell of a funny guy.   You can follow Hawk online at www.motohawk.com

Many thanks to Hawk for leading a street ride on Saturday!
